Project Detail Design
Louvre
For this small project, we were tasked to look at a detail of one of the design projects done throughout the first year of study. These timber louvres are designed to improve the interior quality of an apartment space providing shelter from the elements and control of natural lighting. An electronic pivot system allows the panels to rotate 180degrees while a sensor on the front edge of the panel can track the sun throughout the day, allowing the occupants to wake up to the morning sun. Constructed of hollowed CNC cut timber the panels are built durable but also lightweight for panels to be adjustable by hand.
